Gabi
FOUNDER
Gabi Stewart brings two decades of experience teaching children and a deep passion for water safety to Northwest Arkansas. Originally from Chihuahua, Mexico, Gabi moved to the US at age 17 and now resides in Springdale with her husband and three children.
Inspired by her children’s struggles with traditional swim lessons after listening to a podcast about water safety, Gabi discovered the life-saving benefits of survival swimming. After witnessing her son’s success with the Swim-Float-Swim program, she became a certified survival swim instructor.
In 2021, she founded Shrimply the Best to serve her community and is proud to be Arkansas’s only bilingual Infant Aquatics® Survival Swim Instructor. She was thrilled to be the first survival swimming instructor who made these lessons available in Springdale.
Gabi has worked tirelessly, traveling across NWA to teach children vital water safety and self-rescue skills. Her mission is to make these lessons accessible to all children—regardless of age, ability, or disability—instilling water confidence and giving parents peace of mind around water.
“I am so happy to be able to serve Northwest Arkansas families, and make a difference in these families' lives, and I hope to have the opportunity to make a difference in your child’s life.”

Halsey
INSTRUCTOR
Growing up, Halsey’s summers were always spent around the water. Her parents built a backyard pool shortly after she was born and they spent a lot of time at the lake. She has always found so much joy working with kids!
Halsey’s first summer job was teaching swim lessons, which is what sparked her passion later on in life. After enrolling her son in traditional swim lessons, she felt frustrated with the program and the lack of skills being taught or maintained.
When Halsey found Gabi at Shrimply the Best NWA, she was AMAZED at how quickly her son was able to learn and thrive in the water. She finally felt peace of mind knowing her son would be safe around the water. After asking Gabi countless questions about Infant Aquatics®, she felt a strong calling to get certified herself. She officially joined the Shrimply the Best NWA team in 2024!
“I pray we make an impact in our rapidly growing community while teaching children these life-saving skills. I am so excited to work alongside Gabi.”
